Log Book Service

Long gone are the days of pulling out your Log Book from your glove box and flicking through the pages just to find your last service details. Instead, we’ve simplified the process and made it easier for you by investing in software programs that enable us to access your Log Book information all with a click of the button! Quick and simple, all we need know is your Rego number and what Service you require (or Odometer reading), and we can provide you with an instant quote!

If you’re wondering why Log Book Service? Well, a Log Book is designed to keep your car running smoothly. By following the recommended servicing timeframes outlined in your Log Book, you can be assured that your vehicle serviced properly and on a regular basis. Essentially, it’s your ultimate car bible prescribed by your manufacturer to avoid unexpected breakage or to prevent you from being stuck on the side of the road.

Prices vary between car models and Service intervals, so we recommend getting in touch with one of our friendly team members to get an exact quote.

Minor & Major Service

We understand that life gets a little bit hectic at times and servicing your car may get put on the back burner. Which is why at My Auto Hub, we’re committed to helping you routinely service your car as efficient and effortlessly as possible – without disrupting your daily schedule too much or diving too deep into your pockets so that’s one less thing you need to stress about.

Minor Service / Basic Service – When it comes to your entry level, we’ll replace your engine oil and oil filter using your manufacturer recommended quality products. We’ll also road test your car, rotate your tyres and give it a thorough check over whilst on a hoist to ensure your car is in a road-worthy and high performing condition. If something’s not quite right, we’ll inform you of any recommended repairs, so you know exactly what to expect.

However, if your car requires more love and care, we may provide you with a list of all the recommended repairs on your invoice for you to keep in mind. And when you’re ready to proceed with the repairs, just give us a call, and we’ll take care of the rest – it’s that easy!

Major Service – When it comes to Major Services, we follow the same processes as the Minor Service, except we’ll be replacing a few more things and giving your car a little extra love and care it’s been missing out on. We’ll check your filters (Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Fuel Filter), oils and coolants and will replace the ones that only need replacing.

While the Major Service sounds expensive at first glance, rest assured that your initial quote is the absolute maximum amount you could be expected to pay. We’ll always do our best to help you get the best deal whenever we can while we’re servicing your car, leaving you with a little extra money in your back pocket on things you want to treat yourself with.

Brake Pad Replacement

Ever drive around and notice your brakes making a squealing or scratching noise? Or are your sixth sense intuitions got you feeling like something’s just not quite right? When this happens, it could mean that it’s time for your brakes to be replaced.

When this happens, you have three options to choose from:

  • Best Recommendation: Replace brakes pads and brake rotors. With rotors ranging between $400 – $700, they’re affordable and safest option – providing you with the highest performance while on the road and offering the most convenience in the long run (saving yourself another trip to the mechanics later on again).
  • Second Option: Replace brake pad and machine the rotors. This “old school” technique is great at keeping costs down, however, has a couple of drawbacks. This solution is dependent on the amount of thickness remaining on your brake disc and if your vehicle is non-European.
  • Last Option: If you’re looking for a budget yet efficient solution, you have the option to replace your brake pads only, otherwise known as “Pad Slap”. As a general guide, Pad Slapping will cost around $180 – $220. It’s a much cheaper alternative that works and will provide you with a level of safety while out on the road. However, just expect a few new noises when hitting the brakes (nothing to be concerned about).

Safety Certificate/Uber Certificate

Thinking about buying or transferring your vehicle? Then you’ll need to hold a QLD Safety Certificate. A Qld Safety Certificate highlights the Queensland minimum standard that your car should meet to be allowed on the road, so it’s important to have this when you’re going down that route (quite literally).

If you think this might be something you need, head to QLD Transport website to find out more information and the relevant fees involved.

Air Conditioning Service

Here in Queensland, we’re known for our beautiful, sunny weather. However, we’re also quite prone to scorching temperatures, which is when our air-conditioning turns into our biggest lifesaver! Having cold air conditioning in Queensland is like having air in your tyres – a necessity!

Our technicians have the latest equipment to keep your car running cool all year round, so you can drive around in maximum comfort!

As a guide, Air Conditioning Services prices start from $150, and will include new air conditioning gas, oil and dye.

Timing Belt Replacement

When it comes to ensuring your engine runs at maximum efficiency, it’s important to keep your camshaft and crankshaft properly functioning. As a major component to your vehicle, once your timing belt busts, this could result in an expensive and often irreparable engine damage – leaving you worse than what you started with.

Timing belts wear out over time and often, requires replacing at specific manufacturer intervals, along with the timing belt tensioner and idler pulleys which the belt runs on.

Prices for the average timing belt replacement costs around $500 – $1000 depending on the vehicle and engine type, so it’s best to give us a call so we can give you a more accurate quote.

Other Mechanical repairs

Like humans, we understand that every car is different, and there will be times when things go wrong or will need replacing which can stack up over time and become costly. With an endless possible list, it’s impossible for us to lay out every single repair. Which is why, we recommend getting in touch with us if you have any concerns. That way, we can talk you through the best way on how we can fix your car and get you back on the roads in no time!

Tyres & Wheel Alignment

In need of some new tyres? Well, look no further because we have access to all the big brands plus your cheaper alternatives under one roof! What’s more, we can connect you with some great deals – meaning more money in your pockets too!

What’s more, we own one of the latest 3D Jim Bean Wheel Aligner in our repair shop. Using the latest technologies to help align your wheels with precision and accuracy, we can help you maximise the life of your tyres and get the most out of them – after all, they’re one of the biggest investments to your car.

Just flick us a message with your tyre size and we can give you a quote!

While most people start off with a lift kit and tyres, we like to recommend our Triton EFS lift kit, Tuff T-01 Rims with some Blackbear Tyres (same tread pattern as BF Good ridge but at a fraction of the price)! However, if you’re after another brand or looking for something else, we’ve got plenty of other great options available, just let us know what you’re after.

If you’re looking to turn your 4WD up a notch, we also stock other accessories too, including dual batteries, bash plates, bull bars, UHF installs, brake controllers and other goodies. Tell us how you envision your dream 4WD and we can make it happen for you!
